Everyday Life of ESC Volunteers

Everyday Life of ESC Volunteers at the EDUQ Association: Inspiration and Engagement

Volunteering is not only an opportunity to travel and discover new places, but above all, a chance for personal growth, supporting others, and contributing to positive changes in society. At the EDUQ Association, the daily life of European Solidarity Corps (ESC) volunteers is filled with diverse activities that not only broaden their horizons but also positively impact the local community.

ESC volunteers engage in various activities aimed at supporting the local community and promoting educational and cultural values. One of the main areas of their activity is leading the Kids Club Interest Circle and implementing their own weekly activity plans. Through creative teaching methods and interactive activities, volunteers help children develop their skills and interests.

An enduring element of the daily life of ESC volunteers is learning the Polish language and exploring the Pomeranian region in terms of its history and culture. This gives them the opportunity to better understand the local culture and traditions, which promotes integration with the community.

Additionally, ESC volunteers are involved in various forms of support for people with disabilities, ranging from working in schools as teacher assistants to organizing activities for disabled adults and youth. Their involvement in the local community also includes supporting preschools and senior clubs.

Furthermore, ESC volunteers implement their own ideas for disseminating knowledge about their home country or profession by participating in local mini-projects. Through presentations in schools and afternoon meetings, they share their experiences from Erasmus and volunteering, inspiring others to actively participate in international programs.

The EDUQ Association regularly organizes integration meetings and trips, allowing ESC volunteers to get to know each other better and exchange experiences. Involving local youth and senior volunteers in their activities is an additional element in building a community based on mutual support and understanding.

During their long-term volunteering, ESC volunteers also attend two training sessions to enhance their skills and knowledge in working with youth and education.

However, volunteering is not the only thing occupying the time of ESC volunteers. During their holidays, most of them travel and explore Europe, discovering new cultures, traditions, and experiencing the diversity of the continent.

We invite you to join our club of volunteers, where everyone can find their place and opportunities for personal and social development.
